Love affairs of the past

Last night I was with my friend talking about her latest lovelife when suddenly my phone rang, I found out it was a good friend that I had a romantic interest on in some distant past. Anyway, I talked with her on the phone for about 15 minutes and suddenly I was again bursting with ideas about love, romance and all that stuff. This morning I wrote her an e-mail as I can not fully explain my point to her over the phone and then suddenly something escaped my mind that I just like to share.
"Love is not about feeling good over someone or being into some "fairytale" like state, it is realizing that life becomes more meaningful when we go through it, conquering its every obstacle with someone knowing that no matter what happens, that someone will be with you through and through"
They said I am becoming profound well... that could be one... that's all for now I'm still enjoying my remaining hours in freedom.... :P
  • I already read book 6 of Harry Potter... I kind of like idea that the main characters are maturing and having their own love interests, although I hate the fact that one of the most important characters had to die
  • Its an all go for the academics come monday... I just hope I'll make it back to Dean's list this semester...

And then it's over

Everything has to come to an end but then I'm proud to say that my break was well worth it. I wouldn't be spending it differently if I'll do it again, except, of course, wishing that there was more time. But then again, being seated in front of the computer inside the very familiar Melchor Hall and savoring the chill of the Baguio Climate, kind of allows me to be at peace knowing that again I am to start another semester. Somehow I feel recharged, my optimism has started to increase again and it seems that life goes on and the break is really over.
I had a very nice time meeting my classmates in high school, especially this one odd couple which I will later explain why call them as odd. The guy was my first real friend in Dumaguete City. Being first year high school and not being able to speak cebuano, this person was the very first person who introduced me to Silliman University. Well, from that friendship we started discussing about our beautiful classmates and then suddenly he was paired with this girl who was totally snobbish at that time. Of course so many things happened especially that they became "a couple" for a few seconds and then not saying a word to each other in the next coming years. Fast tracked to 5 years after when all of us were attending college, both of them in Dumaguete while I was in Manila. I suddenly remembered that it was the girl's birthday and so I sent her a card to thank her for a favor she did not so long ago, that began a series of exchange of text messages until suddenly I started teasing her to my long time friend who was her boyfriend for a FEW seconds. After some researching I also got hold of the guy's phone number and in due time I was again teasing him to this girl. Both of them were trying to ignore my "remarks" since both of them had their own relationships. Then fast track again to another 6 years and I see both of them outside a bar smiling and obviously a couple. After 11 years finally, they are together... don't you think that's serendipity? Of course, what makes me share this thing is the fact that I was right all along..... hahaha I just remembered how embarrassed they were when I was recalling the story to both of them while most of their friends who do not know the what happened were giggling and giving them mischevious looks... well serendipity it is....
And then I enjoyed talking to Fourth year students and telling them about the Philippine Military Academy, telling them that the once in a lifetime opportunity that PMA offers to them. I am especially happy when I talked to the Fourth year students of my beloved alma mater, Silliman University High School and being reminded of how I was as a high school student. And of course, I was touched by the way my teacher expressed how proud they were of me being here, perhaps that is the least the we could do to our teachers, go back and tell them that we are doing good with our lives.
Well, I still have so many things to write and I do not think you would be as amazed with all the memories as gathered as I am right now. Well, although it seems that we were ordered to go back here just to post as guards and sleep the whole day, I'm still smiling... hahaha I'm reading the latest Harry Potter and I think I'll be done tommorrow, of course I'm saying now that you won't expect a review of that book in the next Corps Magazine but I'm feeling more of Harry Potter now wondering what my subjects will be and anticipating my next adventures but of course I still have to find out who my HALF BLOOD PRINCE is.... well that's it for now till then....

Fun on Break

Well my break has begun. Thursday I ate my favorite KFC and then watched Fantastic Four with my squadmate. Then yesterday, friday I finally went to San Carlos. While I was waiting for my flight to board, I looked around and kind of noticed the variety of people around me. What strucked me with my observation was that there seems to be a lot of Chinese, or maybe Koreans, (basta they are of the Yellow race) vacationing in our beloved Philippines. Of course, plus the fact that cleavage is so in right now that everybody, irregardless of race, color, body size, ethnic group and all other groups seems to flaunt their cleavage. Is the fashion now more on breast emphasis? Well, it was an observation and sitting for more than hour inside the airport terminal will kind of make you think of so many things just to pass time. And then I finally boarded the plane, won a t-shirt for knowing that Tom Cruise said the dialogue "you complete me" in Jerry Maguire. And then finally saw my relatives after more than a year of absence. To cut short the story, I went home at 3 am with my head aching a little but not drunk. hahaha I'm not going philosophical yet, maybe later, for now I'm enjoying every bit of my vacation...

Calculus is DOWN!!!

Yesterday I wrote something, but for some reason it was lost so I'm typing again this time with another frame of mind, but of course the title is obvious, I PASSED CALCULUS. I am one of the few (70 out of 260 actually) who passed the subject thereby allowing me to go on break (yipeee!!!). If you try to recall the posts that I had in thei website, I have been expressing my array of feelings over this subject, from frustrations because of failed exams to happy events when I am able to get a good score, some people have actually felt that I have become too focused on the subject. Well the numbers speak for itself. In my company alone only 10 passed the subject out of 29, the rest will just have to spend more time with their books and take the removal exams, while I go have the time of my life while on break. Yes, success, Calculus is down. :)

How is it going to end?

That is the question I am contemplating on now. With the final exams already done and a schedule for break already laid out, the question is Am I going on break? After the so many trouble I had with calculus my confidence level just dwindled considering that rumors has it that only 70 of our class passed the course. The others will have to take the proficiency period then the removal exams to determine their final fate, or maybe MY final fate. I'm actually allowing myself to suffer thinking about the result of that exam since I basically can not do anything about it. But still the thought haunts me. For one, I already had imaginings on what to do during the break and of course, I really feel that I just need that break to rejuvenate. And so I retreat to this blog, wondering if I'm one of those lucky who will go on break this coming wednesday...
well just like before PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE
